Giiks Game City (GGC) has officially announced the maiden edition of the GGC Esports Hall of Fame, marking a significant milestone in the growth of Ghana’s esports ecosystem.
The first-ever Hall of Fame is designed to recognise gamers not only for their in-game performance, but for their ability to build, mobilise, and engage a strong fanbase. Built on the belief that esports thrives when gamers have fans, the initiative places community support at the heart of competition.
Participation begins through self-nomination, where gamers register using a unique Gamer ID or Stage Name and actively promote themselves to supporters. Fans nominate players via an official link, and only the top eight most-nominated players qualify for the Hall of Fame Tournament—making fan engagement the sole pathway to entry.
The competition features a structured format comprising a group stage, semifinals, and a final. Players earn cash rewards at every stage, with group wins, semifinal victories, and final placements contributing to overall earnings. The Hall of Fame Winner will receive GHS 2,000, while the Runner-up earns GHS 1,200, subject to increases based on match outcomes.

As its maiden edition, the GGC Esports Hall of Fame sets a new standard for competitive gaming in Ghana—empowering gamers to turn talent into identity, participation into community, and competition into lasting legacy.
Interested partners or supporters wishing to sponsor or support the event with cash or products are encouraged to contact the GGC team. Together, we can grow esports in Ghana.
