About the GGC Esports Hall of Fame 2025 – Esoccer Edition – Where True Fans Live

The GGC Esports Hall of Fame is an annual competitive esports initiative created to strengthen fan culture within the gaming ecosystem.

The core idea behind the Hall of Fame is simple but powerful: esports thrives when gamers have fans. Unlike traditional sports, where fanbases are central to an athlete’s success, gaming has often overlooked the importance of audience connection. The GGC Esports Hall of Fame exists to change that narrative.

This initiative encourages gamers to be intentional about building, owning, and growing a fanbase—transforming friends, family, and social media followers into active supporters. By doing so, gamers gain visibility, events attract larger audiences, and esports becomes more exciting, engaging, and sustainable.

Held annually at the end of the year, the GGC Esports Hall of Fame celebrates gamers not only for their skill, but for their influence, reach, and connection with people. The stronger the fanbase, the greater the opportunity to be recognized and compete on one of GGC’s biggest stages.

Ultimately, the Hall of Fame empowers gamers to turn talent into identity, participation into community, and competition into entertainment.

Event Guidelines

1. Eligibility

• Open to Ghanaian gamers who:

• Already have a fanbase, or
• Believe they can build or mobilize a fanbase.

• Players must be willing to actively promote themselves and engage supporters throughout the nomination period.

2. Registration & Self-Nomination

• Participation begins with self-nomination.
• Interested players must complete the official registration form.
• Each player must submit a unique Gamer ID or Stage Name:
  • This is the name the player wants to be popularly known by.
  • Players with existing gamer tags or stage names may use them.
  • This name becomes the player’s official Hall of Fame identity.
• All players must follow GGC on all official social media platforms:

3. Fanbase Activation

• Once registered, players must use the same registration link and share it—together with their Gamer ID/Stage Name—with supporters to encourage nominations.
• Supporters may include:
  • Friends and family
  • WhatsApp contacts
  • Social media followers
  • Online communities
• Supporters nominate the player through the official link, and each nomination counts as fan support.

• Optional (Strongly Encouraged)

Players are encouraged to:

• Create short videos announcing their nomination
• Publicly share their journey and intention to compete
• Actively engage both existing and new supporters throughout the nomination period

4. Nomination & Selection Process

• Only the top eight most-nominated players qualify for the Hall of Fame Tournament.
• The competition is strictly limited to eight (8) players.
• Selection is based purely on total nomination count.
• Nomination results will be announced after the nomination period ends.

5. Core Principle

The GGC Esports Hall of Fame is not just about playing games—it is about building community, influence, and legacy.

Players who succeed are those who connect with people, inspire support, and bring others along on their esports journey.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Group Stages

• Time: 4munits
• Two Group Stages: Group A & B
• Each group consists of 4 players playing in a round-robin format.
• Top 2 players in each group qualify for the semis, leading to the finals.

Semi finals

• Time: 4minutes
• Semifinals are Home and Away matches
• Winners are decided by goal aggregate.
• If both matches end in draws, the second match goes to extra time and penalties.

Finals

• Time: 5minutes

The Final Game is played as a single match

PRIZEPOOL GHC 5,000.00

Ways to Win

• Win cash as you progress. Each match win earns a cash prize assigned to that stage.
• anytime you draw, the money is added to the final winning pot. this makes the tournament, win or lose it all

Winning Breakdown

• GROUP STAGE: Winning bonus per win: 75.00 GHC
• All draw money is added to the final winning pot.
• SEMI-FINALS: Winning bonus per win: 150.00 GHC
• HALL OF FAME WINNER: 2,000.00 GHC (subject to previous match outcomes, money could go up)
• RUNNER-UP: 1,200.00 GHC

ROUND 1

• GROUP A: 6 wins X 75 = 450 GHC
• GROUP B: 6 wins X 75 = 450 GHC

ROUND 2

• SEMI-FINALS GAME 1 is Home and Away, each win is 150.00 GHC Total wins = 300 GHC
• SEMI-FINALS GAME 2 is Home and Away, each win is 150.00 GHC Total wins = 300 GHC

Finals

• Hall of Fame Winner: 2,000 GHC
  (Final amount may increase based on accumulated bonuses and drawn games)
• Runner-up: 1,200 GHC
