GGC Esports Academy Launches “Next ProCasta” to Develop Africa’s Next Generation of Esports Broadcasters
Accra, Ghana — Giiks Game City (GGC), Ghana’s leading innovative force in esports and gaming content, through its educational and talent development arm, GGC Esports Academy, has officially launched Next Pro-Casta — a pioneering initiative designed to discover, train, and empower emerging talent in esports broadcasting.
Next ProCasta aims to nurture individuals who aspire to become shoutcasters, hosts, and pundits — the energetic voices and personalities that bring competitive gaming to life. The initiative aligns with GGC’s broader mission to develop all aspects of the esports ecosystem in Africa, transforming a passion for gaming into sustainable career opportunities.
Participants in the Next ProCasta programme will undergo real-world casting challenges that test their knowledge, creativity, pace, and chemistry — the key attributes of professional esports commentators. They will learn to analyse matches, deliver engaging commentary, and develop on-screen charisma that captivates audiences.
The initiative promises a life-changing experience for contestants:
🏆 The Winner and Runner-up will become official shoutcasters and hosts for GGC tournaments, shows, and GGC.TV productions.
🌟 The Top Four Finalists will be signed under the GGC Talent Portal Management Programme, offering career development, mentorship, and potential international and local opportunities within the esports and entertainment sectors.

Beyond competition, Next ProCasta is an empowerment movement. It opens pathways for youth across Africa to explore careers in media, digital storytelling, and live production. The programme will help:
“Esports isn’t just about players anymore — it’s about the voices that make every match unforgettable. With Next ProCasta, we’re giving those voices the tools and opportunities to shine,” added GGC Management.
